Ahrefs sells Brand Radar three ways: packages of your own prompts, its AI indexes by the platform, and an allowance inside each of its four suite plans. That makes nine prices. Prices start at $50 a month, for Custom prompts: Basic.

Add-ons

What costs extra.

  • Checks past a custom prompt package's allowance cost $0.020 each on Basic, $0.015 on Growth and $0.010 on Scale, billed at the end of the billing month.[1, 3]
  • A custom prompt package can be added on top of an Ahrefs plan's own allowance of checks.[5]
  • Extra users on an Ahrefs plan cost $40 a month each on Lite, $60 on Standard, $80 on Advanced and $100 on Enterprise; prepaid annually, $400, $600 and $800 a year each on Lite, Standard and Advanced.[1]
Billing

How Ahrefs bills.

  • These are Ahrefs' US dollar prices. Its pricing page showed euros to a visitor in Europe (Lite at €119 a month) and dollars when asked for USD; its help page gives prices in USD and says they may vary slightly by region.[1, 4]
  • Paying yearly for an Ahrefs plan saves up to 17%: Lite is $1,290 a year against $1,548 at the monthly rate.[1]
  • Asked about discounts and free trials, Ahrefs says it never runs discounts and points to Ahrefs Free, which gives limited access to Site Explorer and Site Audit.[1]
  • Brand Radar can be bought as a standalone tool, and the purchase comes with an Ahrefs Free account. The help page lists the AI indexes as an add-on for any paid plan.[1, 4]
  • Every paid Ahrefs plan except Starter includes checks for your own prompts: 150 a month on Lite, 300 on Standard and 600 on Advanced.[3]
  • A check is one prompt run on one platform in one location, and Claude uses 8 checks per update. Tracking weekly or monthly instead of daily lets the same checks cover more prompts.[2, 3]
  • When a plan's checks run out and pay-as-you-go is off, no more custom prompts are checked until the next billing month.[3]
  • There are no contracts or setup fees. You can cancel at any time in Account Settings and keep the plan until the end of the paid period, after which the account moves to Ahrefs Free.[1]
  • Upgrades take effect immediately; downgrades and cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period.[1]
  • Ahrefs does not issue refunds in general. On a monthly subscription you can ask for one if you haven't used the service, and it may decline if it sees material activity in the account.[1]
