AI visibility change checker

Say AI answers named you in 15% of answers last month and 25% this month. Is that a real change, or the usual swing between runs? Enter both counts and the checker gives each rate a 90% range and a verdict, by the rule GEOFast's dashboard uses: a change is real only when the two ranges don't overlap.

The checker

Two measurements, one verdict.

Each side is the answers that named you out of the answers asked. The verdict changes as you type, and nothing you type leaves your browser.

Before

Before

The earlier measurement.

After

After

The later one, after a change.

Count answers, not prompts: 10 prompts asked once each of 4 engines is 40 answers.

The ranges overlap: before, 8% to 27%; after, 24% to 48%. A move this size fits inside the usual swing between runs, so it may be noise.

At these two rates, 52 answers on each side would put the ranges apart.

How it works

How the change checker works.

  1. 01

    Counts each side

The answers that named you out of the answers asked, before and after. Count answers, not prompts.

  2. 02

Gives each rate a 90% range

A Wilson score interval, the range on every rate in GEOFast: where the true rate likely sits, and honest at small counts.

  3. 03

    Compares the two ranges

A change is real only when the ranges don't overlap and each side has at least 10 answers. Otherwise it may be noise.

  4. 04

Says how many answers it would take

The fewest answers on each side at which the same two rates' ranges would stop overlapping, worked out with the same range.

Reading the result

What each verdict means.

  • A real rise

The range after sits wholly above the range before.

  • A real drop

The range after sits wholly below the range before.

  • Within the noise

The ranges overlap: asking the same questions again could move the rate this much on its own.

  • Too few answers

One side has fewer than 10 answers, too few for a range to mean much.

FAQ

Questions about the AI visibility change checker.

  • What does statistical significance mean for AI visibility?

Whether a change in how often AI answers name you is bigger than the swing you'd see from asking the same questions again. AI engines write each answer afresh, so a rate from a few dozen answers moves on its own between runs. Why answers change

  • Why does a change count only when the ranges don't overlap?

It's the rule behind every move GEOFast's dashboard marks. It is stricter than a standard test of two shares at the same level, so a small real change can read as noise, and noise is rarely called a change. How GEOFast counts

  • How many answers do I need to see a change?

It depends on the size of the change. From 15% to 25% takes 177 answers on each side; from 10% to 40%, 23. The checker works it out for your two rates.

  • What is a 90% range?

Where the true rate likely sits, given the answers counted: a range built so that about 9 times in 10 it holds the true rate. GEOFast uses the Wilson score interval, which stays honest at small counts and never leaves 0 to 100%. How sure each number is

  • Can I check citations or one engine the same way?

Yes. Any count out of a total works: answers that cited your site out of all answers, or one engine's answers alone. Share of voice is counted over mentions, not answers, so enter your mentions out of all brands' mentions there.

  • Is the change checker free?

Yes. It runs in your browser with no account, and nothing you type is sent to GEOFast or stored.
