A Gemini visibility tracker that reads the app

Gemini answers in Google's own app, often with links under the answer. GEOFast captures the Gemini app signed out, from your project's country, and counts how often its answers name you, put you first and link your site, each with a 90% range.

Every plan: daily on Growth, Agency and the 14-day trial, weekly on Watch.

How we read it

Google's Gemini app, read signed out.

  • The app a buyer opens

Each Gemini answer is captured from the app itself with no Google account, through DataForSEO, our data provider, with the links shown under it.

  • Placed in your project's country

The capture asks from the country your project tracks, one of 15, in its language, so a project in Spain hears what Gemini tells people there.

  • Links, but no searches

The app capture brings back Gemini's answer and its links, not the searches behind them. So Gemini's answers show no searches; ChatGPT's and Claude's do.

  • Not the same as Google's AI answers

Gemini is tracked apart from AI Overviews and AI Mode on Google's results page. Each has its own rates, so a gain in one shows on its own.

Our data

What Gemini did with our questions.

We captured the Gemini app's answers to the demo projects' questions and counted the links under them, whose sites they were, and how steady Gemini was about Plausible.

3.6

links per Gemini answer, on average. 16 of 191 answers had none at all.

80%

of Gemini's answers named Plausible, 53 of 66, likely 71 to 87%. It came first in 25.

24

Gemini answers linked Reddit, of 191. Only plausible.io was linked in more.

51%

of the sites Gemini linked for a question (342 of 667) appeared in no other engine's answer to it that run, Google's own AI answers included.

Gemini naming Plausible, run by run, with the 90% range
Run 117 of 2277%, likely 60 to 89%
Run 218 of 2282%, likely 65 to 92%
Run 318 of 2282%, likely 65 to 92%

Gemini named Plausible in 77% to 82% of a run's answers. The ranges overlap, so the dashboard would call none of those moves a change.

191 answers captured from the Gemini app, from GEOFast's two demo projects (four runs for trygeo.fast and three runs for plausible.io, October 6 and 7, 2026), on questions about AI visibility tools and about web analytics, from the US in English. Plausible's rates leave out the questions that name it.

Limits: two fields and two days, and the questions came from GEOFast's onboarding, so they aren't measured demand. A site counts once per answer.

  • The pages under its answers

Gemini's links join the Sources page with the other engines', and the ones that name a rival and not you are marked, on Growth, Agency and the trial.

From Google

What Google says about Gemini and your pages.

  • Grounded in Google Search's index

Google describes grounding in the Gemini app as giving the model content from the Google Search index at the moment you ask, to improve factuality and relevance.[1]

  • Google-Extended is the switch

Google-Extended is a robots.txt token, with no user agent of its own, that controls whether Google may use your pages to train Gemini models and to ground the Gemini app. Google says it doesn't affect inclusion or ranking in Google Search.[1] Google-Extended

  • Sources aren't always shown

Google's help page says Gemini sometimes shows sources within and below its answer, and that an answer without a Sources button came with no links.[2]

FAQ

Questions about tracking Gemini.

  • Is tracking Gemini the same as tracking AI Overviews?

No. Gemini is Google's chat app; AI Overviews and AI Mode sit on Google's results page. They answer the same question differently and link different pages, so GEOFast counts each one apart.

  • Why do some Gemini answers have no links?

Gemini doesn't add sources to every answer, and Google says an answer without a Sources button came with none. Those answers still count toward how often you're named; they just can't cite you.

  • Does Gemini answer people in other countries differently?

It can, which is why GEOFast captures it from the country your project tracks. Two projects in different countries can see different brands for the same question.

  • Which Gemini model does GEOFast track?

The one Google's app serves a signed-out visitor. GEOFast doesn't pick a model, so the answers follow Google's own changes, as buyers' do.
